Shelter Care Fund

Our Shelter Care Fund is dedicated to covering the costs associated with taking in, housing, and caring for each animal at Butte Humane Society.

The goal of this fund is to allow us to provide every animal with the support they deserve from the moment they arrive at our shelter. Your contributions directly support essential needs, including intake assessments, safe and comfortable housing, daily cleaning, nutritious food, and enriching activities. The fund also covers all medical care, from routine check-ups and vaccinations, to spay and neuter surgeries while the shelter pet is in our care. On average, it costs $1,700 per animal to provide the comprehensive care they need before finding a forever home based on our 21-day average length of stay.

With the Shelter Care Fund, you can provide a compassionate, safe environment for animals on their journey to finding forever homes.
